Tester and Client Responsibilities
Tester's Responsibilities
It is BDME's responsibility to undertake an air tightness
test in accordance with ATTMA standards and to work within guidance provided by
ATTMA. BDME will provide the following:-
- Testing equipment [fully calibrated] necessary to assess the
dwelling
- Consumables associated with above [temp sealing
etc]
- Testing / assessment via software / reporting /
certification
A suitable date will be scheduled / agreed with the client for the
testing to be undertaken. Weather can play a part in the ability to test so re-scheduling is sometimes required.
Client Responsibilities
- Provide safe access and egress to property
- Prepare property for testing
- Agree suitable date for testing
- Provide a safe and stable 240V mains power supply
- Ensure that the dwelling is not being used by others /
other trades
- Advise of any site induction procedures that are necessary
- Provide keys / opening for all external doors
- Ensure that all external doors / windows are in their
final fitted state
- Ensure that all drainage traps [sinks / WCs] are filled /
sealed with water
- Ensure that all builders work is completed to the external
envelope
- Ensure that all services penetrations are properly sealed
[boiler flues, drainage pipes, electrical boxes / switches etc]
